Originally called “Jug Tavern,” Winder, the seat of Barrow County, remembers the notable railroad builder and manager, John H. Winder. The city incorporated in 1893.

Spend the afternoon shopping in Downtown Winder, complete with antique, craft and furniture shops and a variety of restaurants and coffee shops.
